Asamblea Regional de Murcia

The regional parliament exercises other powers granted by the Constitution, the Statute of Autonomy and other rules of the legal system. Section 23 of the Satute of Autonomy enumerates some of them, such as appointing senators to represent the Autonomous community; predicting the economic forecast; lodging the appeal of unconstitutionality established by law; requesting the National Government to draw up bills and present them before the Congress of Deputies (the lower house of the Cortes Generales —the constitutional body representing the Spanish people) in accordance with section 87.2 of the Constitution.
