Asamblea Regional de Murcia

This body includes the spokespersons of the different parliamentary groups. It is led by the Chairman of the Regional Assembly, and representatives of the Governing Council may attend the meetings of the Board of Spokespersons.

It is the competent body, together with the Table, responsible for the scheduling and arrangement of the parliamentary sessions, thus establishing the activities agenda.

Likewise, if agreed and for an urgency, it may include the debate of a given matter even if it has not complied with the legal procedures.

Moreover, it has a number of functions, such as the determination of the number of deputies of the Permanent Deputation and the Committees, and the allocation of seats to every Parliamentary Group in the Chamber. Its decisions are adopted by means of a weighted voting system, by virtue of which every spokesperson may have as many votes as seats its group has in the Chamber.

This body is regulated under sections 51 and 53 of the Regulations.
